Summer Perfect!

I've been lazy about posting lately and I haven't taken any outfit photos since I've gotten to Baltimore. So, I thought it was time for me to post something that inspires me. This summer look is so fun! It makes me want to go for a picnic. Or paint. Or make jewelry. All of the pieces can be found at Modcloth.

I know the mug isn't part of the outfit, but isn't it just adorable? The total price tag may be pricey for some people, but just remember that you don't have to buy the whole outfit. You can always buy one piece that you absolutely love and then use items from your existing wardrobe to build a similar outfit.

Life is Crazy Sometimes

It feels like it's been forever since I last posted. It's just hard to keep up with the blog and work and school and life. For those of you that don't already know, I work full time in a public health laboratory. I attend school part-time, but it's insanely accelerated. Every two months I start a new class. I'm working on my masters of public health and I have 1.5 years left. That's why sometimes I'm absent from the blog. And sometimes it's because I'm trying to have a life. Oh! And now I have torn cartilage in my hip and will most likely need to have surgery. Life is crazy!

Currently, I am at school taking some face-to-face classes (requirement). I enjoy being back in the school environment. Here my only focus is school and that feels great. However, this time I do have a little bit of work to do, but I hope to finish today and then the next three weeks will just be school.

The hubs and I took these photos a couple of weeks ago and I never had the chance to post them.

I really enjoyed this outfit. It's so much fun and comfortable. As you may have noticed, comfortable and easy is my go to outfit. I sometimes go for fussiness in an outfit, but comfort just can't be beat. I'm really into flowy blouses right now. However, sometimes they can make you look bigger than you really are, so adding a belt can help define your waist and make you curvy, not bulky. These shoes are the most comfortable shoes I've worn in a long time. I'm practically wearing them everyday. Bonus: they are closed-toe so I can wear them to work. These pants are loving their new life as shorts. I know you've heard it before from me, but I'm saying it again any way. I can't help but wear shorts to work. It's so hot in Texas and when I walk out the door after work I'm sweating so bad by the time I make it to my car I just want to take off everything. But because that is just not appropriate, I wear shorts to work. Nothing in this outfit was thrifted, but I got everything for a bargain.
